My Big Fat Greek Adventure!

I have always loved Ancient Greece.

When I was little, I was obsessed with Greek mythology. (I still am.) When I went to college, I was forced to take Greek Seminar and it turned about to be my favorite course. (Shout out to Professor Alex Green!) And in 2005, The Battle of Salamis by Berry Strauss made me fall in love with all things Themistocles. (I’m still working on my historical fiction novel. I swear!)

At any rate, in order to research the above mentioned novel, I took a trip to Greece back in 2008, and it was amazing. In a whirlwind tour, I visited Athens, Corinth, Mycenae, Olympia, Delphi, and Meteora. I even have the pictures to prove it. I hope to one day return for a second Greek odyssey soon. <3

Fun fact: Women were not allowed to participate in the Olympics. (Boo!)
